Fashion Studio

This space has been designed to combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. It is a versatile environment featuring mobile, electrically powered pattern-making tables, optimised to facilitate work with fabrics and textiles.

The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and technology, including:

  • Traditional and industrial sewing machines with AI technology, capable of recognising different fabrics to optimise the garment-making process.
  • Triple-feed sewing machines, ideal for working with plastics and other resistant materials.
  • Two overlock machines for professional-quality finishes.
  • Stockman mannequins, the industry standard for pattern cutting, draping and haute couture.
  • 3D digital design with Style3D software, available across 45 workstations, combining creativity and technology to shape the future of fashion.

Discover Creative Campus Facilities

To train as a fashion designer, you need to learn in a professional environment like the one you will encounter in your future career. With 5,000 m² in the heart of Madrid and state-of-the-art facilities, Creative Campus is the ideal space to develop your studies and bring your creative ideas to life.

You will find fashion design studios, pattern-making workshops and sewing workshops equipped with sewing machines and all the materials you need to create your collections. You will also be able to experiment with fabrics and materials and develop virtual garments using 3D technology.

Alongside the facilities specifically designed for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and Creation, you will also have access to shared creative spaces designed to inspire collaboration and interaction with other students.

One of these spaces is the Atrium, a vibrant meeting point where exhibitions, presentations, performances, masterclasses, screenings and other creative activities take place.

Faculty

  • Jorge Alvarez Alvarez
    He holds a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. He completed several courses in Pattern Making and Garment Construction and has since worked for the fashion house Nihil Obstat, specializing in made-to-measure tailoring and costume production for film, theatre, musicals, and other performing arts projects. He also works as a dressmaker for other fashion houses and has taught Film Tailoring on the Master's Degree in Stage Costume at La Tecnocreativa.
  • Daniel Chong
    Designer and founder of Daniel Chong Spain. He graduated in Design and Communication from the University of Palermo, Argentina, in 2010. In 2024, he completed a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Management in Fashion and Accessories through the online school Talent Class. He is an active member of the Spanish Association of Fashion Creators (ACME) and regularly participates in Madrid Fashion Week, presenting an annual collection through the Madrid es Moda platform, in line with Slow Fashion principles. His fashion house received the SME of the Year Award in 2022 from CaixaBank, in collaboration with Madrid City Council. In 2023, he received the Craft Award for “Craftsmanship with Social Impact” from Madrid Craft Week, in association with the Todo está en Madrid initiative, also promoted by Madrid City Council.
  • Marta De La Rocha Fernández-Jardón
    Visual artist and lecturer. She holds a PhD in Feminist and Gender Studies from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She is currently Vice Dean for Fashion at the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies at Universidad Europea de Madrid. Her work brings together fields such as visual arts, gender-perspective illustration, and portraits of women, alongside teaching and research. Her publications include Historia Ilustrada de la teoría feminista (2020), published by Melusina in 2021 (edited by Ana de Miguel and Marta de la Rocha); Españolas por descubrir. Semblanzas I y II, Másquelibros, Madrid, 2022 (Círculo de Orellana); and Heldinnen. Vrouwen die Sportgeschiednis schreven, Thomasrap, Netherlands (edited by Caioli and Elvira Giménez). She has illustrated numerous gender-perspective publications for public institutions, including Soria City Council, San Fernando de Henares City Council, Seville Provincial Council (Plan Contigo), and the THAM Association of Municipal Social Services (Community of Madrid). At national level, she has exhibited at galleries such as Estandarte in Madrid and at cultural centres including the Alcobendas Art Centre and the Tomás y Valiente Centre in Fuenlabrada.
  • Silvia Gómez Cisneros
    She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Image, Technology and Design, a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, and a Master's Degree in Design and Image Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has also trained in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, Stage Costume Design, and Set Design. She combines teaching with multidisciplinary design and strategic consulting focused on the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic impact. Her professional experience in fashion includes collection design, creative direction, corporate uniform design, the design and management of socially impactful textile projects, social consultancy and sustainable innovation, content design, and corporate training. Her teaching experience includes higher education programmes in Fashion at Bachelor's, Diploma, and Master's levels, covering areas such as Design Fundamentals, Sustainable Management, Communication, Fashion Management, and Ecodesign Strategies. She also supervises Bachelor's and Master's final projects.
  • María Redondo Solance
    María Redondo Solance is a lecturer and researcher specializing in Costume History and Fashion Sociology. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) from the Complutense University of Madrid, where she is currently completing her PhD. She also holds a Master's Degree in Museography and Exhibition Design from the Complutense University of Madrid. She teaches first-year courses on the on-campus Bachelor's Degrees in Fashion Design and Creation and Fashion Communication and Management. Her research interests include Costume History, 18th-century dress, the relationship between art and fashion, and the influence of historical dress on contemporary fashion. She has presented papers and lectures at various cultural institutions and is the author of several specialised articles and book chapters.
