Evolving Archetypes: Dior / Balenciaga

The project showcases student work through the digital reconstruction and creative exploration of two iconic garments and looks. Each proposal begins with an accurate 3D reproduction, respecting the garment’s original essence and construction, and then reinterprets it in a contemporary key or projects it into a speculative future, where the piece becomes a space of aesthetic and conceptual disruption without losing its structure. The process relies on advanced work with STYLE3D Studio, Fabric, and AI, integrating 3D modeling and rendering with final AI-enhanced images to enhance realism, finish, and visual storytelling.

This project, developed for the Behavior of the New Consumer course in the Master’s in Fashion Marketing and Communication, focuses on the strategic conceptualization of an outerwear fashion brand. Based on an analysis of the hybrid consumer (online/offline), it defines a value proposition centered on identity, emotion, and real functionality.

Being Canarian means living with a special sensitivity to the everyday: a slow rhythm, a sense of community, respect for the landscape, and for the history that precedes us. It is carrying within a way of seeing the world that is calm, warm, and simple. The collection is inspired by the sobriety of Tenerife’s rural surroundings, particularly San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It is essence; the honesty of organic textures, the study of volumes that envelop the body, and a color palette that seems rescued from a suspended moment in time. La Calma que Habita celebrates an identity shaped by Atlantic isolation, where natural wear and artisanal heritage intertwine to create clothing that is, above all, a refuge—true, grounded, and rooted.
