In the course Theory of Audiovisual and Interactive Media, students developed a timeline-style board game focused on the main milestones in media history. The project transformed historical knowledge into a playful experience, covering the entire process: research, conceptualization, graphic design, and final production ready for printing.
Each team selected forty milestones—technological, theoretical, and key figures—and conducted thorough research to synthesize their historical significance. Based on this foundation, they designed the game mechanics and defined the target audience, aiming to balance academic rigor with a clear and engaging experience.
The project included the complete development of the visual identity, cards, packaging, and professional print-ready files, as well as an oral presentation of the work.
Beyond consolidating course content, the project allowed students to connect theory and design, demonstrating how the history of media can become an interactive, critical, and creative learning tool.
