Descripción

As part of this project, several modern FPS (first person shooter) titles will be investigated, focusing predominantly on the mechanics they offer in order to subsequently create a functional prototype with a gameplay style, drawing from a functional logic extracted from existing dynamics in relevant titles, combined with elements of our own development, with the aim of providing a unique gameplay and personality.

At the same time, other pieces that build the whole user experience will also be evaluated, including HUD (heads-up display), sound, level design or artificial intelligence, in the case of a PVE (player versus environment) experience. As a prototype would be incomplete without at least a few touches of each of the aforementioned elements, they will also form part of the research and subsequent implementation. Lastly, the technical process undertaken in order to turn a design on paper into a playable prototype implemented in the Unity engine will be explained, where the technical and artistic sections come together. It will explain all the systems created, the technical difficulties that have arisen along the way, in addition to the logic that has been followed in order to solve them before producing a final product. In short, this document reveals the different creative phases at various levels; animation, design, programming, etc., that make up the creation of a video game or video game prototype.
